Project description
I my project I will collect and characterize new species of bryophytes in Northern Europe and establish the lipid profile by advanced analytical chemistry techniques. A high degree of chemical diversification of bryophytes suggests it will be a promising green factory for producing a series of natural products. Finding novel lipids in mosses, liverworts and learning how to utilize high valuable lipids in different industries will be my main task.
